Some will perform better than others. Reward the high performers and fire the poor performers as part of your 20% reduction.
Every Cabinet level Dept head would be similarly held accountable for their dept-wide 20% reduction, with the option of shifting existing resources from one role to another (yes, this requires the elimination of the unions). Even if this requires firing one type of worker and hiring a different type.

Seriously, it’s all happening so quickly, it’s hard to keep up with the good news! But it feels so good.
I told some people that were wishy washy on President Trump that we would get a pretty good idea of things by his appointees and how well and quickly he began fulfilling certain campaign promises.
He has hit the ground running and implementing his stated promises & goals. This bodes well.
No one is going to be 100% happy, so I suggest all of us on the right realize that he will do things that we don’t necessarily agree with. It is key we stay focused on the big picture.
Good. No more gubmint jobs — start looking for REAL job, snowflakes!
Not the type where you’re off 15 times a year with full benefits, no co-pays on your insurance, full pensions, etc.
Tired of being a corporate worker in government-employee area ... I feel like a slave to these people!!
Oh, and the other thing? You’re going to have to learn how to be truly COMPETENT at your job, and also produce RESULTS.
It’s what the rest of us have to do everyday, or we’re out.
Since there are constant reductions in the workforce due too attrition, a hiring freeze is as good as firing people and far less damaging politically.
Watch them refuse to retire and age discrimination will suddenly become a big issue after being totally ignored in the private sector. They’ll parade them around like heroes.
