I personally don’t think the two situations are comparable.

If Trump is going to respond to every idiotic comedian, celebrity, etc who takes a dig at his family that will become a full time job very quickly.

The mainstream ‘media’ is supposed to be held to a higher standard of conduct - reporting facts.

Nip it in the bud!
Don’t let the MSM roll you on day one. You can never let them get away with the first punch.
Used to piss me off when GW never responded. Then he took a conciliatory tone and it was down hill from there.

The MSM lied about the crowd size. The Mall was filled all the way to the Washington Monument. This can be verified by CNN’s megapixel of the crowd. Here it is below. Take a look and quit carrying the LSM’s and the far-left’s water.

I also recommend using the zoom feature. There are a lot of unfortunate people caught with stupid expressions on their faces.

Yeah, don’t you just love how the default center of the picture zooms into, not the new President, but Obama?

Banjo Boy you really out did yourself here. Your smug condemnation of a magnificent speech full of truth not the usual Washington lies shows you to be a serious kind of stupid.
BTW what did happen to the dead female staffer in your office anyway?

Did President Trump make a mistake by getting into a spat over crowd size, and by his speech at CIA?

No.

I am going to repeat what I said yesterday. He is stopping them at the dinner roll.

And I am enjoying the fact that the media is having a full blown tantrum about this.

The Inaugural #s are about marginalization and needed correction from a political POV.

Baron is different. He’s a kid. But, he’s NOT home schooled and the writer was fired and her name removed from the credits. Social media hammered her. Problem dealt with, without opening his kid up to even more evil snark. BTW, the libs just doubled down: someone posted Baron would pollute the WH sinks with ejaculate. Ever ignorant, they ignore Baron is still prepubescent. So, you see: ignore it and they increase the amount of fire and double down on depravity. It’s beyond the pale, so Donald and Melania may have to carefully consider a response. Watch the progs go at the kid with slavering intensity.

Progs don’t do inconsequential. Some science professor had his science creds questioned, lost a job and was harassed online for posting that Melania looked nice at the Inaugural. Nothing is inconsequential concerning the Trumps.

Rush made the point this morning that Trump supporters are about all DJT has watching his back. So maybe _we_ need to be the ones out there responding to this crap?

I agree. I'll add the following:

If Trump is going to respond to every idiotic mainstream media @sshole who takes a dig at him and his administration, that will also become a full time job very quickly.

NO. And frankly, it wasn’t so much the crowd size with which he took issue, it was the intentional misrepresentation once again of everything Trump. He had every right to call these liars out. Keep doing it.

"Trump is unhappy with Spicer’s performance (also his ill-fitting suit)."

Thanks for the source.

Personally, I think Trump actually likes Sean Spicer, and that he thinks Spicer is doing great so far, but I could be wrong.   However, I don't tend to put a lot of stock in reports like this through "Twitchy", from Maggie Haberman of the New York Times and CNN, and from Gabriel Sherman of New York Magazine, but time will tell.   We should find out pretty soon how Trump views Spicer's job performance, just by observing his job status with Trump.
