Wow. I wasn’t aware of this.

Lee however is a bad idea for this nomination because a) Trump said he’d name someone from a list that Lee isn’t on, and b) because we have no confidence that he’d be replaced by a conservative in the Senate—would we get Egg McMuffin? Another Hatch?

Lee can’t be trusted. He’s got about as much loyalty to conservatives as a snake.

I’d prefer someone younger for a longer & more lasting impact on SCOTUS.

Pryor is very likely another “Reagan” Kennedy choice. Don’t nominate him!

Judge Moore is 70; it was Pryor who helped remove him from the AL court the first time.

It is unclear too that Pryor is pro-life. I am not sure he is.

Pryor succeeded Sessions as AL attorney general in 1997.

What about Judge Gorsuch of CO, the son of the late Anne Gorsuch? But he was once a clerk to Anthony Kennedy. Maybe there is no perfect choice available?

Check out my replies #37 and #39 on this thread about Judge Gorsuch. He sounds Scalia-esque and very pro-”sanctity of life”. He did clerk under Kennedy, as you mentioned. This might be a drawback if Kennedy pulls him left OR what if Gorsuch pulls Kennedy to the right? I guess you never really know until they get on the bench i.e Souter.

Don't name a woman. There's already three too many on the highest bench of the land. Name one outstanding female justice in the history of the Supreme Court.
