I actually feel sorry for the husband. He looks like he’s embarrassed by her rant but afraid to say anything.

He has clearly been an enabler for her. One of the reasons she is so unhinged and uncontrolled is that HE is afraid to say anything. If he stood up and sternly told her to STFU she might calm down a little.

An enabler? Highly unlikely. The guy is beaten-down and broken from years of this behavior.
Perhaps this public spectacle will bolster him to shed those chains, divorce, and enjoy whatever years he has left! :-)

My ex MIL was a bit like that, and her husband was the silent type and let her carry on and on and on ... to a point. Then he came out with a strong and silent, “Edna, knock it off!” And she did.
