He probably knows it would be futile. She is unhinged and he knows a separation of only about 2 feet isn’t going to stop her from attacking him. And he didn’t want to be in the middle of it all. It must suck to be him.
Isn’t there a joke similar to this? To the effect that the husband stays onboard, while the wife gets kicked off, because it’s the quietist moment he’s had in over 50 years?
That woman is a miserable mean bully to everyone around her obviously. Her husband is clearly a victim of her continuing abusive behavior; hopefully he can find enough strength to leave that abuser, heal, and find a better life.

If she were a “guest” in my home, I would have handed her her and her cuck husband’s jacket and politely asked them to leave. If the couple that brought them objected, they would be handed their coats too.

In fairness, the guy just lost his mom, and he and his harridan wife were flying home for the funeral. I can't imagine what was going through the poor guy's head when the shrew was embarrassing them both.

NO! They really don't look anything alike and Gail from SCG is not nearly as skinny as this woman is. I believe it was meant as a joke.
