Linda has 4 more years left on her term.
He’s up in 2020, when Trump will be running for reelection also.
He’s still there because he’s never had a primary opponent that wasn’t a loser incapable of beating him. You can’t beat something with nothing.
We need a strong, real challenger (hopefully with the President’s support) to run or else he’ll be renominated and reelected (because running fruitcake and cokehead libertarians as democrats or independents against him isn’t gonna work either) again.

linda is a senator for one simple reason: we have open primaries in SC and enough RATS cross over and vote for him.
Unfortunately this probably won't change until the state legislature does away with open primaries.
Last time around state senator Lee Bright ran against linda. Lee is an up and comer. Hopefully he'll challenge linda again in 2020.

I hope not beause Lee Bright was not a good candidate and will not beat him if he tries again. Need someone better, ideally a Rep. or statewide official.
Open primaries don’t help, by the larger problem is poor candidates, like Bright.

1) military-industrial complex, and the Cheap Labor Express. They always win, because they outspend any opponent 10 to 1. In the case of McCain, 15 to 1. We need term limits, or we will suffer forever.

As DJ has opined, I think you’d need to also limit the tenure of staffers, otherwise you’d have a power behind of the throne situation of veteran staffers manipulating green Congressman.
