Rex Tillerson, the former Exxon Mobil executive with close business ties to Russia, saw his prospects of becoming secretary of state brighten Sunday after gaining the support of two influential Republican senators who had wavered on the nomination.
Though we still have concerns about his past dealings with the Russian government and President Vladimir Putin, we believe that Mr. Tillerson can be an effective advocate for U.S. interests, Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in a statement.

Why does the world in the Senate revolve around McCain and his girlfriend?
They are seen the writing on the wall. The big Boss is in charge
So sad that two nincompoops are still in power. Come on, SC and AZ.
Bubble boy needs to vote for him in committee to get a full vote in the Senate, Although Mitch can force one anyways
I think it’s more they gave up trying to be relevant anymore.
I believe folks are starting to fear being called out via Spicer or Twitter...
Even Democrats McStain and Graham are now on board.
ROTFL
I would suggest it is finally time to come to Jesus having pandered to their bases till near the last moment
Since McCain won a primary challenge, we will probably have to wait for nature to take its course.
Trump might consider appointing Linda to some meaningless post, like Ambassador to Turkmenistan or Kenya, where his great expertise can be better utilized.
Good. Maybe Rubio will stop playing games too.
I’m so sick of the Bobsey Twins and their outsized influence over the Senate.
Something tells me they’re going to be a pain in the President’s side, until he figures out a way to neuter them.
I hope that the voters of SC and Az relieve us of the persistence of these politically-weak, joined-at-the-head twins in their next respective state primaries....and that they are forever consigned to some dark memory hole in a barren landscape somewhere.

a better idea would be
8 or 10 more Republicans in the US Senate
“They are seen the writing on the wall. The big Boss is in charge”
Especially since McCain tried to sabotage Trump with the golden shower nonsense.
The Three Stooges overplayed their hand on the Russian nonsense and now are covering their butts.
McCain, Graham and Rubio, who thought it was a good idea to arm jihadists.
And give away the country to illegal aliens.
Add Rubio to that list of worthless RINOs.
Last I heard on the subject (which was last night) he hadn't yet committed.

I would guess McCain is up to his eyeballs in the fake news releases of the Russian hotel/prostitutes LIES. He may just be a ‘yes’ man for the foreseeable future. No more “maverick” and sweet little Linsey does whatever ole ‘songbird’ tells him to do.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I sure hope that turns out to be correct. It seemed like this transformation in Graham and Mc Cain took place very recently. Aren’t McCain and Graham pushing for further investigation into whether there are ties between the Trump campaign and the Russian government? It wouldn’t surprise me if these two are acting friendly so they can stab Trump in the back again.
