There was never really a drought, just less water fell over several years but there was still water. The local reservoirs had their water released at night, and a couple of large reservoirs drained near empty for maintenance - during the “drought”
It was called a “drought” to: 1) encourage people to buy water “efficient” gear, in other words, generate sales tax money and fill some politicians pockets. 2) raise water rates for using less water - pay more for using less. AND the rates will NOT DROP because of plentiful water.
