Sen. John McCain on Sunday praised President Donald Trump's national security selections, declaring "I couldn't have picked a better team."
In an interview with ABC News' "This Week," the Arizona Republican also said he intended to vote to confirm Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
"I have the utmost confidence in General [James] Mattis, General [Michael] Flynn, General [John] Kelly, Dan Coates," McCain said of Trump's Defense Secretary, national security adviser, Homeland Security Secretary and director of national intelligence, respectively.
"I couldn't have picked a better team. So I'm confident that he'll listen to them and be guided by them."

I agree, and it had been my take McCain would oppose some of his cabinet selections.

I think Trump’s given in to the Neo-cons on Russia. Russian media is certainly less positive on Trump than they where a few weeks ago. I’d expect Putin to put a big push on Trump shortly and Trump will slap him down but without the possibility of an escalation to war. Much better than what I expected under Hillary but not the US and Russian alliance I was hoping for.

This worries me. I would rather McCain hated Trump’s picks (but votes for them anyway because his arm is twisted and he has no power).
