One would think it would and that then makes one wonder about the high stakes gambit that may have gone on. It would seem that one good reason for Obama to have given a Clinton a ‘pre-emptive pardon’ is because it helps him avoid the mess of criminality that he is also implicated in. Obviously he didn’t do that. By not pardoning Clinton, it opens the door for pursuing her but it’s a two for one deal at that point…. If they are going after Clinton, they have to also go after Obama as he was involved at every step of the way. While going after Clinton may be a tough thing to do politically, the political implications of going after Obama are much more difficult and with the great liberal unwashed, it would be akin to lighting a match in a dynamite factory. So to avoid lighting that match with Obama, Clinton might skate…..
Half of the population believes that justice should prevail over politics. We have for too long allowed the perception that some people reside above the law - and it this is allowed to continue - it will only get worse, not better.
