Report: U.S. Announces Withdrawal From TPP Within 24 Hours of Trump Inauguration…

…and other fun stuff discovered walking through this new winner wonderland.

Making good on a consistent campaign promise, and in absolute rebuke to the best laid plans of Tom Donohue, the Asian Pacific Nikkei reports:

WASHINGTON — Soon after President Donald Trump was sworn in, his administration announced the U.S. withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade pact championed by former President Barack Obama and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The White House on Friday also wasted no time in declaring a renegotiation of the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA. (more)

It would appear the economic plan continued before the actual nomination is proceeding according to a well designed plan.  The elimination of TPP is a complete rebuke of The Big Club.

But wait, oh it gets better.

To carry out his strategy, the President is appointing the toughest and smartest to his trade team, ensuring that Americans have the best negotiators possible.

IMO, that is a key sentence. When Perot was running for President, he made a comment that was glossed over. He said that if you look at our trade deals, "It would make you weep." I thought at the time, "Where the Hell are all our sharp Yankee traders?", not realizing how bad we were intentionally being sold out.

Great historical question: "Where the Hell are all our sharp Yankee traders?", not realizing how bad we were intentionally being sold out.

Now we know how bad we were sold out the rats and GOPe!

One sunny day in late January, 2017, an old man, named Dave, approaches the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue where he’d been sitting on a park bench. He speaks to the U.S. Marine standing guard and says,

“I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.”

The Marine looks at the man and says,
“Sir, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here.”

The old man says,
“Okay,” and walks away.

The following day the same man approaches the White House and says to the same Marine,

“I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.”
The Marine again tells the man,

“Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here.”

The man thanks him and again walks away.

On the third day, the same man approaches the White House and speaks to the very same U.S. Marine, saying,

“I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.”
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looks at the man and says,

“Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Obama. I’ve told you already that Mr. Obama is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don’t you understand?”

The old man looks at the Marine and says,
“Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.”

The Marine snaps to attention, salutes, and says,
“See you tomorrow, Sir

He’s done more good for the country in one day than what Obama&Co, have done in eight years logic is a wonderful thing.
