What benefit would that bring?

The action of last month, which is the fault of the Obama administration, not our UN membership, now haw the force of international law.

Why create an environment where that is repeated again and again?

Why not control them by the power of the purse, rather than turning them loose with no control ?

I love the sentiment.

Still, I might prefer to stay on, pay nothing, and retain veto power in the UN Security Council.

The US pays about 22% of the UN bills.

Remove the funding of the UN would make the UN wither up and die.

UN should be moved to the neutral continent of Antarctica..

I hear the Falkland islands might soon be available. They are fairly close to Antarctica.

The U.S. does not need to belong or support and organization which consistently votes against the U.S. and it’s interest.

Learn it.

I have already learned that I do not want to abandon my right to veto action that could have profound negative legal effect on me, whether it’s internationally, nationally, locally or in my condo association.

Why give up that veto / vote to get nothing in return? We can control them financially, so why give up that ability.

I know “GET THE US OUT OF THE UN” makes a great slogan, but slogans generally make lousy law. We saw yesterday in DC and at other demonstrations what happens when a million people have screaming slogans, but no logic nor much intelligence to go long with those slogans.

Do you not understand The U.S. is an independent sovereign country? The U.S. has no business controlling other countries.

Because by vetoing the enactment of such policies and giving them the force of law, we prevent huge international problems for every American.

The reason UN has been taking such action is because Obama wanted them to. Trump does not. Trump now controls money to UN.

End of problem.

End of discussion.

That’s BS, and that’s not what’s happening. The U.S. is paying through the nose to an organization who consistently votes against the U.S. and our interest.

More BS. Before Obamba, are you suggesting the U.N. supported the U.S. and consistently voted along with the U.S. prior to Obamba?

Because by vetoing the enactment of such policies and giving them the force of law, we prevent huge international problems for every American. And for decades prior to Trump,

I got big news for ya Ms., for decades U.S. has had BIG intentional problems since joining that anti-American corrupt globalist organization. And it just gotten worse and worse and worse in every direction.

Again, the U.S. has no business belonging to an organization which consistently votes against U.S. and U.S. interest and it certainly has no business funding this organization.
