wonderful news! Going against laws has consequences. Maybe some will learn this lesson.

What do you mean by undifferentiated in this context?

We are a country of laws or we are not. Let me count the ways a “protestor” may cross the line...18 U.S. Code 2101. There maybe some “special” conditions for an inauguration in D.C. that are not covered here.

From the Federal Judicial Center, 2101. Riots

(a) (1) Whoever travels in interstate or foreign commerce or uses any facility of interstate or foreign commerce or uses any facility of interstate or foreign commerce, including, but not limited to, the mail, telegraph, telephone, radio, or television, with intent –

(A) to incite a riot; or (B) to organize, promote, encourage, participate in, or carry on a riot; or (C) to commit any act of violence in furtherance of a riot; or (D) to aid or abet any person in inciting or participating in or carrying on a riot or committing any act of violence in furtherance of a riot; and who either during the course of any such travel or use or thereafter performs or attempts to perform any other overt act for any purpose specified in subparagraph (A), (B), (C), or (D) of this paragraph shall be fined not more than $10,000, or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. (b) In any prosecution under this section, proof that a defendant engaged or attempted to engage in one or more of the overt acts described in subparagraph (A), (B), (C), or (D) of paragraph (1) of subsection (a) and (1) has traveled in interstate or foreign commerce, or (2) has use of or used any facility of interstate or foreign commerce, including but not limited to, mail, telegraph, telephone, radio, or television, to communicate with or broadcast to any person or group of persons prior to such overt acts, such travel or use shall be admissible proof to establish that such defendant traveled in or used such facility of interstate or foreign commerce.

As I said, we are a country of laws, or we are not.

Demand felony convictions for all, even if no other punishment,so they lose eligibility for many things.

Works for me, although I'd like to see some jail time.

Well .. when they see the other prisoners getting great food, and they don’t get that same food .. Hmmmmm ..?? I wonder what they would do ..??

And .. what it costs us to keep these terrorists should be challenged. Why are we being nice to them ..?? Why are we giving them our best and treating others so badly - if I have to tell you .. you’re not paying attention.

Facing charges for this type of behavior is not unusual is it? It is simply enforcing the law that exists and it is about time. Instead of hammering decent citizens for the slightest infraction the tide may turn against terrorists.

IMO, within the next year we’ll see these anarchist/communist/marxist protesters being infiltrated at the event level.

Under Obama we’ve seen these people smashing windows and breaking things while the cops were 1/2 block behind.

In the future we’ll see their “fellow” black clad ninjas bust out a pair of cuffs and nail them on the spot.

“Good luck at getting the $25K fine out of them.”

Chump change for Soros. Offer a little less prison time to those who will roll over on Nazi George.

Learned a lot. Didn’t know there was a mutiny by ex soldiers to lay siege to the congress, hence leading to almost complete federal control.

Still not sure where the name “Columbia” came from.

Columbia was a poetic name for the country at the time? OK :)

The "protest" in question is not asking the government to do anything it is capable of doing, and it is not civil disobedience (accepting the consequences of breaking unjust laws).

An "undifferentiated" protest is exactly this - protesting only to protest without a petition for redress and wishing not to be punished for breaking the people's laws.
