1) FR is down hard. Still no luck on a remote restart, John says he may have to drive up to San Jose to get hands on. If so, we’ll be down for hours. I’m very sorry about this.
2) Dear friends, I’m praying we get our db server up and running soon. John has a couple hurdles to get over and then I think it’ll come together relatively quickly. But we only have one tech guy and he’s under a lot of pressure. I think he can use our prayers and moral support. And after he gets it patched up and running again, he gets to start his next project which will be a much needed systems upgrade. Sorry about the downtime. Prayers up. And prayers up for our new president and our nation. God bless.
3) Great News! Heard from John a little while ago. He has the server physically running. He’s going to backup the data and run integrity tests before putting it online, We could be up and running very soon if everything checks out, Sorry, no clues to why it crashed. Nothing unusual in the logs. It’s one of our newer servers, but this is twice that it crashed “for no reason whatsoever” so it’s now destined to be replaced. Prayers up that all checks out and maybe we’ll be up soon.
4) Woo hoo! It’s up! John says it may be slow as he’s still working on it, but wanted to bring it up. Than you all very much for your patience. God bless.
Thank you, very much! I had no idea. Wondered about a hack, naturally, or overload. But, FR had really been running slow for me, and buffering forever on everything, even on slow days. I knew something was going awry, as it was only on FR.
