Why didn’t they win? Gate$ dad was a lawyer and Gate$ used licensing ilo sales. I don’t facebook and now use Linux.

Gate’s mother was on the boards of many big corporations. IIRC she was on the board or headed up the national United Way. I don’t remember the details, but in terms of national connections, Bill Gates’ mother was very helpful. Maybe even more so than his father.
Zuckerburg is another story. He just stole facebook.
