UCSC done crying over Trump, hosts 'People's Inauguration' protest [UC-Santa Cruz]
Campus Reform ^ | January 17, 2017 | Anthony Gockowski

The University of California, Santa Cruz is in the midst of a week-long “People’s Inauguration” to protest Donald Trump’s election, which “deeply troubled” administrators at the time.

In a letter recently obtained by Campus Reform, the provost of Oakes College (one of ten academic colleges at UCSC) lamented the election of “a person who has been overtly and openly racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, ableist, cis-sexist, xenophobic, and much more while on the campaign trail.”

No student loan forgiveness - for ANYONE!

Taxpayers, parents, grandparents and great grandparents paid into this, yet another "transfer of the wealth of others," "loaned" to people under the guise of using those funds for education.

These same taxpayers, in many instances, unable to pay or help pay to educate their own kids.

Now, in more than a few instances, these very entitled and ungrateful kids are returning to the family homes, only to insult those adults who paid their taxes into those student loan programs, for voting for Donald Trump!

Nope, no "loan forgiveness" to anyone, regardless.

Can't afford college, get a job and pay for it yourselves, like many of us have!

Some libs were born here? Who runs public education? State government. And that’s why so many of the young have had their brains washed. Liberals are very similar to Muslims. They want to control and covert people. Get them when their young, it makes the job much easier.

If there’s one thing they hate it’s an “ableist” that creates jobs so people are “able” to work.

They are going to pay every dime BACK to the people of this country they have borrowed from for these worthless college degrees and to insure that we will confiscate their tax refunds and Social Security until every last penny is paid in full— and NO DISCHARGE IN BANKRUPTCY!! SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP!!

Sorry...forgot to mention. I moved to Maine. It has both good and bad points.

No argument from me about the virtues of the Mediterranean climate of California versus the crappy winters here in Maine, although this winter has been rather mild.

I went to college in L.A., lived for many years in Santa Barbara, moved to Maine, then moved to the Santa Ynez Valley above Santa Barbara in the early 1990’s (Solvang) then came back here to Northern New England in 1992.

Looks like the drought is coming to an end in Northern California. Is this the case in Southern California, too?

Prove it.

Far as I can tell you have maybe three to four million that might be conservative or at least not as extreme. Not all are patriots

I know....we have our share of loony libs here in Maine.

I sometimes see gray-haired middle age women driving a Prius with their Obama 2012 bumper stickers still attached.

They are similar to the libs in California...a pain in the a$$.

Good post which reflects my position on my home state,
pretty much. California allowed itself to become a haven
for free thinkers. The hard core leftists saw this as a
weakness. They stepped in and placed a foot on our throats.
Today, there are still millions of conservatives in
the state. However, there is not a lick of leadership
which is partly due to the success the media has had in
slapping down the potential leaders.

From my experience I've found the same goes for every place on this planet.

Everything in life is cyclical, including politics. CA can turn around and rapid political changes do occur. Just like what's happening in 1.5 days. Few if anyone believed it would ever happen, but here we are, complete with mass hysteria. ☺

Get real. The entire population of Tennessee is what? 6 million?

CA has nearly 40 million now. I'd estimate about 15 million are likely more to the right than most of the country, including you. And many get that way by simply living here.☺

You mean a bunch of people suffering from a psychosis called Trump Unacceptance and Resistance Disorder. I don't think even Michelle Malkin, who wrote the book Unhinged: Exposing Liberals Gone Wild in 2005, could imagine the ridiculous psychosis of the Left in 2017.

Some choose to run, some choose to take a stand. And if you’re one of those who like some others, think running away from problems will fix the problems, you too are badly mistaken. That never works. Those who’ll run away from problems once, will do it again and again. But eventually they’ll run out of places to flee to.

There is a TV channel I watch called “Decades.”

They air old movies and vintage TV series like “The Mod Squad,” “The Beverly Hillbillies,” “Highway Patrol,” etc.
I wish I could time travel and live in California in the 1960’s or earlier. The first time I ever saw the state was in April, 1972 when my family flew to L.A. on a TWA 747 from the East Coast (from Boston....my family lived in Massachusetts for a few years).

When I lived in California, the population was 17 million.

I hope Trump can turn things around....MCGA

The way I see it, leftist are obviously a colossal total failure. So much so even their corrupt allies in the media have admitted as much. It’s all a failure, their economics, their immigration/border policies, their punitive taxes, punitive control, punitive regulations, their entire PC education system...It’s all a complete failure.

I just don’t see failures of these magnitudes continuing indefinitely. In fact, eventually it’s going to collapse.
