President-elect Donald Trump said his administration will not move the press briefing room out of the White House into a larger space but will choose the media representatives who go into it, according to an interview with Fox News.

Trump's team had discussed moving news conferences out of the small West Wing briefing room to the Old Executive Office Building, which is part of the White House complex, incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said Sunday on ABC.

"The press went crazy, so I said, 'Let's not move it.' But some people in the press will not be able to get in," Trump told "Fox & Friends" in an interview broadcast on Wednesday.

Trump is playing 3D chess and the MSM is playing 52 card pick-up.

Yes, quit televising it. that would solve a big part of the problem.

A permanent spot for AP or Reuters would solve access issues since all the papers can buy the story.

And then let Trump choose.

I think it may be a good idea that more seats are given to wire services, foreign or domestic(except AP,) than typical MSM.

“We have always thought that a rotation process would be best. Allow more of the smaller news agencies in on rotation, meaning the larger ones will often have to sit it out. That will help keep their attitude adjusted.”

There are so many news outlets that could legitimately be included in a rotation scheme that the big media outlets’ presence would be considerably diminished. One has to stop and ask themselves why CNN, ABC, NBC, NY Times, Washington Post, etc... receive preferential treatment, considering evidence of collusion (Wikileaks)?

The Trump team “will choose the media representatives who go into” the WH Briefing Room. That will rankle some PressTitute Feathers.

Yes, and brilliantly. Now he has the rationale to pick and choose who gets into the little room. Sorry, can only fit so many people and we need to rotate them to be fair to everyone. The media elites lost another round. Haha

Newt Gingrich said the “back of the media cabal” needs to be broken (cabal is my word - Newt had one similar, but I can’t remember exactly what it was). I’d say Trump has taken that advice and is running with it. The media wants to play hardball and FINALLY we have a Republican who can and will play hardball right back .... this is one big reason Trump was elected and anything he does to thwart the media (an opposition party in their own right) & upset their applecart will be met with cheers & approval from the “Deplorables”. :-)

I’d carry your idea a bit further. Each “reporter” has an assigned number and keeps it.
A box with “numbered cards” and/or a Random Number generator is used and the “reporter” with the winning number asks the next question.
Thus every “reporter” has an equal chance to stand and ask, rather than a limited selection of MSM “stars.”
I’d say that is a Fair and Balanced way to go.

I’m not sure which the media will like least. Moving the room or President Trump deciding who gets in and who doesn’t.

Have them all stand up and they can get more than 49 in the room. Put a checkerboard patterned rug on the floor and each media gets assigned one square. No more six CNN reps plunking their behinds in chairs on the front row. Make them share desks in the offices (Breitbart/CNN).
