President-elect Donald Trump said his administration will not move the press briefing room out of the White House into a larger space but will choose the media representatives who go into it, according to an interview with Fox News.
Trump's team had discussed moving news conferences out of the small West Wing briefing room to the Old Executive Office Building, which is part of the White House complex, incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said Sunday on ABC.
"The press went crazy, so I said, 'Let's not move it.' But some people in the press will not be able to get in," Trump told "Fox & Friends" in an interview broadcast on Wednesday.

Bye CNN
Lol - Slick, Trump. Slick.
I heard that and it made me laugh. The press will be squealing like pigs. Will end up demanding a larger room so they can have access. Trump kept a straight face.
I wonder if this will be a consistent 49 reporters, or will they rotate access?
It was planned Rummy.
Chess v checkers AGAIN.
Set up like bowling pins.
so much winning......
All those who promote Fake News should be relegated to another room where they will be able to watch, but not ask questions. WINNING!
He plays them like a fiddle, now they are requesting that he "pick" participants, perfect.
I would really, really like to see CNN and WaPo denied access. Let them get their stories from other sources, and always be late, and lose readership... maybe leak a few stories to them that turn out to be demonstrably false (Trump is on a plane to Israel... then he turns up in the White House rose garden 4 hours later)... just little things to help destroy their credibility.
FR, OAN, BRIETBART, RSBN. That should cover it.
Trump is way too smart to fall for this “rotate” BS. Also, the set number(s). He can pick and chose. He can add or subtract for any reason he wishes. I would love for him to have one agency receive all the news. Perhaps Trump should buy a Media outlet under a corp. name and do the same as the Dems have done for years.
Ingenious!
WAPO has been a mouthpiece for the CIA long after Operation Mockingbird was supposedly shut down.
He needs to kick them out of the briefing room.
I would like to see Trump do a weekly rotating basis for people but leave one seat for Breitbart every week. He would probably need to leave one seat every week for someone else just to be fair. Maybe reuters or AP
Yep, an overflow room across the river in Alexandria with CCTV and a grainy monitor.
If the bastards want it, they'll have to hump over to VA to get it ;-)
hehehehe
Ohhhh, I can hear it now: “Trump is a dictator”!
Lovin’ it!!
Trump gave them what they ‘wanted’ .... except it’s not going to be the same ‘ol, same ‘ol with ‘big media’ getting the first two rows of seats in a room that only has 49 seats. They’ll all be running around squalling with their hair on fire when CNN, CBS, NBC, even FOX, don’t get a seat.
Ari Fleishcher (who thinks moving away from the WH is a good idea) said he would be uncomfortable with ‘government’ picking the media to attend a briefing. I see his point - so make it a lottery. Assign each accredited reporter/agency a number & draw from a bag or have a wheel that can be spun (ha ha - only half way joking here), use a random number generator ..... whatever, it can be done “fairly”. On the other hand. I think reporters like Jim Acosta, who are disrespectful & rude, should be give “time out” for 30 days or so first offense. Also, quit televising the briefings .... as brought up by Fleishcher, Lora Ingraham, Mara Liasson .... some reporters won’t attend if not televised because all they want is to get their faces on camera & provide a ‘show’. There are print reporters there who want to ask serious questions/write serious stories in addition to those who want to be news celebrities instead of reporters.
We have always thought that a rotation process would be best. Allow more of the smaller news agencies in on rotation, meaning the larger ones will often have to sit it out. That will help keep their attitude adjusted.
Sorry Fake CNNews, we gave your seat to Breitbart.
