He did advocate for the free flow of trade and labor across borders.

I don’t know if he gave consideration to the consequences.

And it is a classic, established conservative position. One from which the Republican party will not deviate.

And that’s because Conservatives hold nationalism below orthodoxy. Ideological purity is their goal, no matter the result.

“He did advocate for the free flow of trade and labor across borders.”

Road apples. If you have borders, the flow is not free; it is subject to regulation. He advocated for an absence of senseless and counterproductive restrictions, not for their complete absence.

“And it is a classic, established conservative position.”

You fail to make the crucial distinction between a suicidal lack of control, which is the leftist position, and sensible policies that maximize prosperity, which is the conservative position.

“One from which the Republican party will not deviate.”

Are you seriously trying to equate the Republican Party with conservatism? Really?

“And that’s because Conservatives hold nationalism below orthodoxy. Ideological purity is their goal, no matter the result.”

Hillary, is that you? Bill Ayers? Cloward? Piven? Is that you?

You’re as full of crap as a Christmas goose.
