Maine governor to Rep. John Lewis: You need a history lesson
MSN AP ^ | January 17, 2017

Democratic U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights leader who says he doesn't see Donald Trump as a "legitimate president," should be grateful for all that Republican presidents have done for black people, GOP Gov. Paul LePage said Tuesday. LePage, who's white, said on WVOM-FM that the black Democratic Georgia congressman needs a history lesson. "We're sick of the silver-tongued people. How about John Lewis last week? Criticizing the president?" LePage said. "You know, I will just say this: John Lewis ought to look at history. It was Abraham Lincoln that freed the slaves. It was Rutherford B. Hayes and Ulysses S. Grant that fought against Jim Crow laws. A simple thank you would suffice."

I found this quote which I put on my FB page:

We can all live together as brothers or perish together as fools

Martin Luther King Jr.

There are a whole lot of quotes such as this which establish that all of the agitators and boycotters know NOTHING about the person they're supposedly honoring.

(I can't wait to see how many faux friends "unfriend" me)

He was hit in the head, by some Southern Democrats in Alabama. He’s been helping them perpetuate the Democrat Plantation Slave Party for over 50 years ever since.

Here is what another civil rights leader said about Lewis types over 100 years ago:

Booker T. Washington: “Up from Slavery” (1901)

“There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the N*gro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the N*gro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs....
There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

"As I told my wife, with every tweet, more people are emboldened to speak out."

I think that may be the single most important benefit of Trump's election. The whole leftist agenda is a house of cards built upon their ability to intimidate the sensible majority into remaining silent while they go about destroying America and the rest of western civilization. The intimidation works only so long as to stand up against it would single one out for ridicule and retaliation. With Trump so boldly leading the way by slashing and burning all of the leftist sacred cows, it is emboldening others to do the same in such numbers that the leftists can no longer contain the growing inferno. So long as we ignore the shrieks of false indignation from the left and their media cohorts we will win this battle, and in the process vanquish political correctness for a generation at least.

Most people simply don't agree with the PC insanity, but have until now been too afraid to speak out. As Trump and others continue to point out PC absurdity more and more people will open up and speak out, creating a snowball effect that the left cannot hope to restrain.

It amazes me that everyone seems to forget that the people who attacked Lewis were DEMOCRATS....Alabama, George Wallace, KuKluxKlan are all DEMOCRATS and when Lewis recovered from his injuries having his skull fractured by a DEMOCRAT....he joined them...?????????????????

Some sites are already "fact-checking" this, but he is right. Grant vigorously supported Reconstruction and suppressed the Ku Klux Klan.

The contested election resulted in the Compromise of 1877, where Congressional Democrats allowed the election of Rutherford Hayes and the Republicans agreed to withdraw troops from the South. Hayes supported equal rights and continued to try to enforce the Enforcement Acts which guaranteed the right of blacks to vote in federal elections. Despite his efforts, however, Southern Democrats gradually imposed their strict Jim Crow system.

BOOM! Dang, this makes Trump's response look down right civil. LOL!

Being a democrat stooge is ea$y. No heavy lifting. Communicate entirely based on emotional message as ordered and avoid all thinking or facts.
