Donald Trump has a problem on his hands ... what to do with 2 private jets and 3 helicopters. Our Trump sources say the fate of Trump's 757, Citation X and 3 choppers are in limbo. He can't sell them because if he does it will look like he's profiting off the presidency. Likewise, he can't charter them out because it will open the door to criticism that he's getting a POTUS premium. Trump, we're told, will not let the kids use the planes ... they fly commercial and if they choose private it's on their own dime. And putting the aircrafts in storage poses other problems. They need to be maintained, which is a complicated and expensive process ... requiring pilots and mechanics. POTUS problems.
Couldn’t he lease them for the duration?
How can selling assets be seem as profiting off his presidency. It seems like the opposite. He probably needs to set up a way to contract his fleet out for the next 4-8 years to pay for them. For the Trump plane, maybe loosen up his rule about kids using it. Seems like a waste to get rid of, and he’ll want it again later.
I would think they belong to the company, not Trump personally.
That means the Sons can use them as they see fit.
If Trump doesn’t like it, he can fire them in 8 years.
Seems like that would be the same thing as the Charter issue...
However, I suspect legally he can do whatever he wants since there is the exemption that applies to the POTUS about conflict of interest..but I can see where it causes a PR problem, etc.

Donate them to a conservative no-profit. They can auction them off for cash, and he can write them off!
Well, this deplorable wouldn’t care one bit if his family used the planes or choppers. The press will NEVER let up as well as the leftist Demonrats so go for it President Trump!! You owe nothing to these people that will try and destroy you.
Because it is a Trump plane, one of a kind, would bring in many more dollars over true value.

Selling a business asset owned prior to entering the Presidency is profiting off of it? Huh? Those aircraft belong to the business and Donald Trump has essentially divested himself. The disposition of them is up to the new principals, Don and Eric Trump. If they determine that it’s in the company’s best interest to continue using them, they will. If they don’t, they’ll sell them.

Use them for charitable missions for nonprofits and US military and their families
So here is another problem. Melania has said she is leaving DC 2 days after Trump is sworn in according to TMZ.
So how is she going to fly back and forth.
If she uses govt assets that will be a crap storm every time...despite things like Obama going on a joy ride to NYC for a date night, etc.
She could use Trumps helicopter but is it safe enough?

If he had them vacuum sealed in plastic wrap and stored at the airlines’ mothball facility in the Arizona desert like the Air Force does at Davis Monthan AFB, that would create additional security problems to protect them from sabotage from vandals, fringe lunatic liberals and other terrorists.
The Democrats will try to rip him apart for anything he does. He’s probably already has something in the works for this.

Told by whom? Another Fake News story to gin up more controversy. Who says Trump “won’t let them use the aircraft”? Trump, being exempt totally from conflict of interest laws can and will do what he wants. Who gives a damn about “appearances” since no matter what he does the snowflakes will whine and stamp their feet. Trump only needs to do the right and smart thing and not begin to cave to the loonys who are and will remain butt hurt until 2018 when the butt hurt will turn to butt agony when the Republicans end up with 70 Senate seats.
The guy hasn’r profited a dime. Just the opposite. On the other hand....let’s take a look at Hillary’s Global Initiative.....
Outfit the Citation X for combat so Trump can strafe the DNC at the appropriate time.
Same thing for the helos.
The 757 has heavy bomber potential should resistance not succumb in a timely manner.
