Trump needs to keep the heat on. Their chairs should remain empty with a large sign with an L on it for loser.

Every pan of the audience will further imprint in Americans minds the worthlessness of these Congressional miscreants.

Rub it in their faces till they bleed and scream, then double down.

The assclowns won't learn, but they will feel the pain as rabid animals before they are dispatched.

Ryan, grab your balls and kick these cretins off of all committees.

Let’s see how committed these weasels are to their “principles”.

We are so sick of their double standards.

There is now no reasoning with such partisans.

They must be controlled like the little spoiled children they are.

“consequyences”

A misspelling I assume but I like that better than the correct spelling!

Not much of an “icon” if he can’t stand up to any scrutiny.

"John Lewis ... is best known for leading civil rights protests in the 1960s, including the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala."

And he has not done a thing to improve the "civil rights" situation since - neither for Black or the Country as a whole. He just collects his paychecks, speaking fees and applause.

"Civil Rights Icons", "Community Organizers" and the "Telephone Sanitizers" from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy are all peas in a pod. (Or a "B-Ship" as the case may be)

Lewis, who sees Trump’s Nov. 8 win as oopportunist often do, will continue his bald face lie that Russia interfered in the election, for the sole puroose of fund raising and will continue to seek new manufactured issues thst harmonize the synthetic aspects of oppression by the cracker aka “Blue Eyed, White, Devil” to guilt trip him for the privelege of being white while Lewis and “His People” who carry their mark of Cain, or as the Mormons say “Laminites to the bitter, with a goal of self serving interest, demonstrated by his accumulation of wealth, while making vacuous claims of all sorts, knowing he is a man of little a accomplishments.

Lewis may be known for leading civil rights protests in the 1960s, including the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala., in which state troopers brutally attacked the crowd.

What is curious is that the very people who beat him and others that day or were giving orders to such were Democratic Luminaries such as Bull Connor, George Wallace, ef al.

When the bill came before the full Senate 18 southern Democratic Senators and one Republican Senator launched a filibuster to prevent its passage.

It began with Senator Russell a Democrat of Georgia: “We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our (Southern) states.”

Really? You Asshole....

Even the venerated Senator Strom Thurmond (D) South Carolina wanted in on the competition for biggest Asshole of the 20th Century: “This so-called Civil Rights Proposals, which the President has sent to Capitol Hill for enactment into law, are unconstitutional, unnecessary, unwise and extend beyond the realm of reason. This is the worst civil-rights package ever presented to the Congress and is reminiscent of the Reconstruction proposals and actions of the radical Republican Congress.”

If you aren’t just as big an Asshole as Senator Russell, you were certainly a boil on the body of humanity, who should have been lanced to prevent further infection.

But there are plenty type of Assholes around....

Even the sweet old man of West Virginia got in on the action with his filibuster and intent to insure the bill failed.

Not surprising as he was a Grand Wizard in the KKK.

I’m sure he was inspired in his speech to filibuster for 14 hours and to deny an American equal rights and equal protection u Der the law but, for him it was always about color.

He was black and and white on the issue.

Interestingly and telling ate the vote tallies by party on this issue, which was really idiotic, as there had already been a war fought over the issue of equality, a 13, 14 and 15th ammendment and even the Civil Rights Act of 1875.

Yet, here we were 100 years after the deaths of 600, 000 to settle the issue of slavery and equality arguing the very same points.

In fact, I never really know who the bigger Dicks with Ears were, at the time but, Robert Byrd makes at least the top 3 and Strom Thurmond is probably tied with him as he expressed his opposition and actively worked to deny other human beings and Americans equality with this gem of a quote:

“This so-called Civil Rights Proposals, which the President has sent to Capitol Hill for enactment into law, are unconstitutional, unnecessary, unwise and extend beyond the realm of reason. This is the worst civil-rights package ever presented to the Congress and is reminiscent of the Reconstruction proposals and actions of the radical Republican Congress.”

Only White People existed in their paleolithic world, which yearned for the days not of tolerance but, that time which made imprimatur their conceit and would have enabled them to deny another man his equal and due justice, with no distinction.

But, here is poor old John Lewis throwing with the one party who never once, as a collective, recognized and made it their duty to free men of bondage and ensure their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, equally, under the law.

John Lewis is also a klan man just under the guise of a victim, while he shamelessly and sleazily attempts to prey on the rest of us and make us feel guilty for being white.

Mr. Lewis , you are welcome for the 600,000 who died ensuring you would be free as any other man.

You are welcome for the 13, 14 and 15th ammendment and two, that’s 2 Civil Rights Acts.

Now, all of this heavily promoted and passed in large part by the party you vilify.

On any of these issues: 13th and the 14th and the 15th ammendment as well both Civil Rights Acts the Republicans overwhelmingly led on these issues.....Because it Was Right.

Republicans led by by 80+ percent in their party, while Democrats could only muster some 60% of their party to support and correct an error that should never have happened.

Seriously, what....erh, uhmmmm, whose side are you really on?

I believe the question answers itself.

The Republicans/PE Trump should take this childish act for what it is and just go about their business of governing and enacting their MAGA Agenda...then watch the Dems blow more of their remaining gaskets? Maybe they’ll all then boycott Washington for good and migrate to Mogadishu or the like?

They give the tickets to an outfit like CAIR (unindicted coconspirators) who in turn down the line give the ticket to a jihadi bomber.

that would be fine because the tickets are for seating with the other imbeciles from the party of the imbeciles in congress.

No matter!

Afterwards Trump will be the President, republicans will be the majority, Obamacare on its way out the door.

Until a few days ago, no one had any idea whether Lewis would attend, or not. It was not a topic. Now, Lewis has the spotlight, the dems have an excuse, and Obama is gone.

Lewis said, “Trump is not legitimate”, what he meant was, “Trump is not Obama”.

It’s also up to Congress to call them on the carpet for it. The irony is, the President has the authority to appoint replacements until new ones are voted in.

I hope Trump pushes this, and I hope Congress fixes it. This isn’t something to be blown off. This is serious.
