Think about this for a second. Once the conventions were over you had 2 possible outcomes. Either Trump or Clinton. You are a former pub national security person. Haven’t worked in the field in at least 8 years or longer. Your only chance of future government employment is with Trump and you trash him!? These people are too stupid to hold any position.
It’s not like they did a great job when they had a chance, and I don’t see why Trump would want them in the first place. To paraphrase Cromwell, “Get out here. You been around too long for any good you might have done.”
Yeah, like the Washington Post cares about these people now?
And, fact of the matter is Trump’s cabinet is full of “never Trump National Security Republicans”.

More basic and fundamental, they KNEW there were only two possible outcomes, and their very actions telegraphed, indeed, neon lighted, their willingness to have the shrew as president, over Mr. Trump.

I love how outraged they are by claiming there is some sort of “enemies list”.
First, they created the list themselves.
Second, thinking you are being treated as an “enemy” just because you aren’t offered a job is pretty whiny.

Given their years of overseas experience and their political leanings - they should have no problem getting a job at the CLINTON FOUNDATION.
Why would they want to work for a man they believe is all the things they said in the letters they signed?
Trump is doing them a favor by not encouraging them to violate their principles with the offer of a job in his administration.
He wouldn’t want to be accused of tempting them to besmirch their pristine “Never Trump” credentials.
