Good evening, Pro....did you stay warm today?

Most of the office folks left early today because of the road conditions. At least the fog lifted where I work. Who knows if it will stay gone all the way home.

It was a decent day. Still enjoying comfy temps for the time being and that always makes a day good. LOL
Just dreading when it ends and the cold settles in to stay. Gonna hurt! :-)

Doing well here, Kathy - thanks for asking. A good day. Tomorrow I go in for another epidural - I'm overdue and I'm looking forward to the relief.

I'm all ready for Spring, Kathy.

This unusual, extended cold spell sucks.

Other than that I'm doing fine.

Chrysler's construction effort at the plant in 1941 was one of the fastest on record. Indeed, the first tanks rumbled out of the plant before its construction was finished.

During World War II, the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant built a quarter of the 89,568 tanks produced in the U.S. overall. The Korean War boosted production for the first time since World War II had ended; the government would suspend tank production after each war. In May 1952, Chrysler resumed control from the army, which had been unable to ramp up production.

As a Government-Owned, Contractor Operated facility, Chrysler retained operational control of the production facility until March 1982, when Chrysler sold its Chrysler Defense division to General Dynamics Land Systems. General Dynamics produced the M1 Abrams tank at the facility until 1996, when the plant was closed and tank assembly and maintenance operations were consolidated at the Lima plant. The plant and some of the adjoining property were transferred to the City of Warren in 2001. The site of the original tank plant has been parcelled up and is now dedicated to civilian uses. Address 6305 E 11 Mile Rd Warren, Michigan 48397

Dang! The cold hasn’t let up yet? What kind of temps are you dealing with?

LOL! If our kittehs were able to open the fridge door, you bet they’d be bold enough to help themselves!

Took Darla to the vet and as I suspected, her pancreatitis is flared up again. She got a shot for that. Also discovered her kidneys are starting to go downhill. We can treat that with meds and keep her going for a while yet and her quality of life will be good.

Good evening, radu....is FR still slow? Every post takes forever!!

How is Darla? Feeling better?

The downtown cam should be really white by now. Gently snowing when I got up, a tricky drive to work, and the snow didn’t stop til late afternoon. I can’t see my car, so don’t know how much snow landed on it.

The radio news guy just said over a hundred traffic accidents and issues. Advisories have been extended to 9p tonight. The drive home should be fun....I think I will skip the highway.

FR is veeeeeeerrrrrryyyyy sloooooow tonight. It isn’t just on your end.

It’s still snowing downtown. It’s starting to pile up along the bottom of the on 4th Ave. camera lens and I haven’t seen it do that before. Looks like you’ve gotten quite a bit of snow the past 24 hours. You’ll need it when those temps drop.

Sounds like skipping the highway would be a good idea this evening with all those wrecks.

Darla seems to feel good this evening. She ate a large portion of canned food at suppertime and it hasn’t come up. The shot she got works petty quickly to calm down her pancreatitis. That’s good because she can’t have any more baby food. Too much protein in it and with her kidneys going kaput now, too much protein is a killer. Been through this several times over the years and know the dos and don’ts.

Not much longer before you get your break! Wed. is just around the corner. :-)
