A Caller Asks Larry Elder About WMDs
YouTube ^ | Jan 16, 2017 | Larry Elder

Larry Elder answers a question about an Iraqi top official supporting the idea that Iraq had WMDs and exported the majority of them to Syria. Here are the two sections in my main post dealing with General Sada:

✦ #2 Man -- http://religiopoliticaltalk.com/wmd/#sada1 ✦ #2 Man ~ a Second Time -- http://religiopoliticaltalk.com/wmd/#sada2

This will be added to the post on WMDs

I’ve always believed that there were WMD’s and I still believe that”

Then why didn’t Saddam use them to defend himself? He’d rather die than use the phantom WMDs?

Because they didn’t exist. Or if they did, they were no threat - if Saddam wasn’t even prepared to use them to try to save his own life.

Bottom line: Trump is right. The Iraq war was a colossal blunder.

Even Bush and Cheney ultimately admitted they found no WMDs and there were none.

Bush even made an ass of himself with a press club skit in which he searched around for WMDs on hands and knees. Trying to joke about a war that killed 4000-plus Americans and cost us trillions. And allowed Iran to gain the upper hand in Iraq.

Because he moved them to Syria to avert attack.

Trump is right. The Iraq war was a colossal blunder.

Well that is also true. Instead, we should have blown the Sowdies off the map. (no troops)

“Did you vote for Barry?”

Barry became president because Bush’s Iraq war destroyed the GOP’s popularity. We owe the Obama presidency to Bush and his stooopid invasion of Iraq.

Because he moved them to Syria to avert attack.

Even if that were true — and Cheney publicly said it’s not — they were never any threat since Saddam never intended to use them; he shipped them out of the country instead of using them to defend himself, according to the neocon fairy tale that you’re buying.

“Bush didn’t lie”

After we invaded and found no WMDs, Bush said we were wrong and there had been no WMDs. Was he lying when he said that? You imply that he was, when you contradict him and say that there had been WMDs.

Bush and Cheney also say that WMDs were NOT transferred out of the country. Are they lying?

Any sensible person knows Saddam had WMD, and MOVED them. But when you send in left wing inspectors, you’re NOT going to get the truth.

“he moved them to Syria”

That’s a fairy tale from the same folks — neocon warmongers - who pushed the invasion of Iraq. It’s their new excuse for pushing for another war — this time against Syria.

I think Trump is smarter than to buy their crap. He sees how it destroyed Bush’s presidency.

No, common sense says he would not have given up his weapons on the eve of being invaded. It’s neocons who want another war who are now saying he “moved them” to Syria. Please stop buying their propaganda. I’ll bet you bought it when they said there were WMDs in Iraq and we needed to invade. Why do you still drink their cool-ade?

War is not the same today, nor has it been since 1945.
Fact is yall sit here and argue that we should have never been at war in Iraq is a crock. Saddam consistently disregarded the no fly laws under Clinton and our side was angry we didn’t respond. Just like the middle east today under another democrat. Had we had a strong CIC in charge the last decade, we’d have left a strong force behind like in Germany and Japan and kept the peace. There never would have been an ISIS, nor a mass migration to Europe.

As if the country with the largest arsenal of WMDs in the history of mankind -- and the only one to use the most powerful among them on a civilian population in warfare -- would have the right to invade a foreign country and topple its government even if said foreign country did have a bunch of WMDs.

I'm tired of @ssholes in Washington sending U.S. troops all over the world, leaving monuments to our national stupidity.

Actually, I was buying the "neocon" military aerial photographs, showing the trucks and actual materiel evacuation, all done while the moslem UN was frigging around, giving him plenty of time.

Then, of course, just as ISIS was about to commandeer them in Syria, Putin had to step forward to "destroy" them.

Right. Give it another month or two, and we'll start hearing stories about Vladimir Putin flying these WMDs all over the place from one country to the next in a FedEx plane, just before the "weapons inspectors" can find them every time.

Will last country that got these ephemeral "Iraqi WMDs" turn out the lights after the U.S. invades you and leaves a wrecked civilization behind?

giving him plenty of time.

Plenty of time to get rid of weapons to defend himself with? Yeah, likely story.

Ironically, Saddam was keeping the peace in Iraq. A brutal strongman, he killed a lot of people - mainly Islamic extremists. But we had to get rid of him, and allow chaos to flourish.

“He said he didn’t believe that they were going to invade when he was captured.”

All we know is that he didn’t have any WMDs to use against us, even to save his own skin. So the whole invasion was a colossal piece of stupidity.
