Police at the scene of a shooting that left at least five injured during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration in Miami. Three people were transported by emergency personnel to a hospital, and others brought themselves in for treatment after a shooting during a Miami Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, reports CBS Miami.
A law enforcement source told the station that at least five people were shot during the incident, which occurred at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. The source said two of the wounded were in critical condition.
The station reports that one person is in custody, and a gun believed to be used in the shooting has been recovered. Celebrants had gathered at the park following the city’s annual parade to honor the civil rights icon. Police have not said if a motive in the incident is known.

If you want to know the center of unrest in any city or town in America, just ask directions to the local MLK Blvd. Sad commentary on Dr. King’s “legacy!” The other one you need to avoid is “Brotherhood Way,” cuz it’s likely that “the Brothers” ain’t white, but the “hood” part is right on!
This really sounds bad. Dr.King was dedicated to nonviolence, and people attend a MLK Day event and perpetrate violence. And I’m sure we will hear it is black on black violence.

Seeing how Christians and Jews are regularly targeted by muzzies during Christmas season I cannot really get on board with your remark.

Was someone disrespected? Was that the cause? In ghetto culture, the worst thing you can do to someone is to “diss” or “disrespect” them. And in ghetto culture the response to being dissed is violence.

I think MLK’s heart was in the right place, but like so many other Liberals, he went about it the wrong way by pleading for government intervention.
Obviously he would be sick of the increased black on black crime and murders, which correlates back to the lack of a father in the family, which correlates back to welfare and the “baby momma” attitude.
Single parent black families were about 20% in 1960. They are now about 72%.
Christmas season? This was a terrorist attack? Could I see the link to that?

Perhaps they came to greet Rep. John Lewis, he was in Miami for a MLK Day event, but doubt he’d be at that event, he likes a huge crowd.
Now it;s 8 Injured. Seven of the victims suffered gunshot wounds. One victim is in critical condition. Miami-Dade Police said three of the patients were juveniles.. Officers said two guns were seized.
