Back in my high skool daze, some kids stole some butyric acid from the chemistry lab, and put it into the ventilation system in the cafeteria.

Boy did it stink!

That was also the last year it was used in the chemistry course.

H.S. chemistry labs of the sixties were hazmat sites.

I remember our football coach posing as a 9th grade science teacher, who did not know of the existence of Pythagoras theorem, wanted to demonstrate atmospheric pressure by measuring the height of a column of mercury. The graduated cylinder burst, and the pounds of mercury poured out into the room. He just swept up that which he could.

As for these guys, they should, by today's standards, be charged with spreading a wmd, waging chemical warfare, etc.
