And may sign with Hollywood agent Ari Emmanuel for speaking deals
Obamas are also moving into Washington D.C.'s elite Kalorama neighborhood
Before any retirement plans, Barack has promised to take the family on vacation
President Obama's presidency may be almost over, but he has no plans to slow down in his retirement.
For Barack, there's a presidential library to build, hundreds of millions of dollars to raise, causes to champion and a book to write. And don't forget that long-promised vacation with his wife.
His next chapter starts Friday when he becomes an ex-president. He'll be freer to speak his mind, set his own schedule and make some money. Already, Obama is looking ahead to the book he wants to write, and has had talks with Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel about arrangements that could include lucrative speaking gigs.
Barack and Michelle are expected to make millions from the speaking circuit.
Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, combined to earn more than $153 million in paid speeches between and 2005, averaging $210,795 for each address. While George Bush earned between $100,000 to $175,000 per appearance.
But Obama, a hugely popular president, is expected to command far more than that.

Actually it will make money. Upper middle class liberals are all about show.
A few times at parties, I have gone into the den or living rooms. Many Books by both Clintons, Obama, liberals in the media (like Fareek xxx on CNN, and others) are prominently displayed. They don’t seem to be heavily used - but at least the spine was cracked.
Don’t underestimate how many of these folks want to put on a show on how well read they are

I’ve seen that too. A lot of wealthy liberals display these books, crisply unread in prominent places. The Bill Clinton memoirs, absurdly long and rambling, in particular. Obama wrote TWO autobiographies before being President. Think about that.
Well, I bought Bush’s “Decision Points” because I wanted to hear his version of events, after hearing him trashed by the MSM for eight years. But I wouldn’t expect to learn much from an Obama book.
$20 mill wont even pay for part of one year of vacations they have been taking on our dime. And yes, another vacation is just what they need. Actually, its America that needs a permanent vacation from Obama.
Don’t bet on it. Every College Professor will demand their Students buy the Book and read passages from it in the Classroom every day. It will be part of the Curriculum.
Heck, the bound Toilet Paper holders that John Lewis had somebody write for him are flying off the shelves, albeit years after they were released.
Sure is funny about building a Library in Chicago. Most of the people there under the age of 20 cannot read.
