Me too! I can hardly believe we're almost there.
I have never been this interested, or had so much anticipation about a presidential inauguration in my life!
I watched the entire GW Bush festivities on TV - and may have watched the tape again. Was so excited about him taking over but was sadly disappointed. Not all his fault b/c of 9/11 and the Dims in Congress, but he listened to Turd Blossom Rove and others and didn’t speak up for himself. I was so hopeful for him, even got to meet Laura and him at a rally up here, but this seems different, perhaps b/c I’m older (and hopefully wiser now). Didn’t like Bubba, but I think he was kept somewhat in check - Obummer and his admin, including his EOs and EPA and other agencies spewing regs as well as ValJar and others giving bad advice, have been much more dangerous to our country IMHO (maybe it’s because I’m more aware and have been following politics more closely the last several years).
We are ALL right there with you Windflier, I believe WE are all this excited because THIS ELECTION we the people WON!!! We did NOT back down regardless of ALL that was thrown at this man WE STOOD OUR GROUND!!! He fought back and SO DID WE!!! It is just unimaginable looking back how much BS we fought against, OUR OWN SIDE even gave us MORE grief than ever expected!!!! I thought our country was gone and had tipped more to the left side than we could overcome!!! I am PROUDEST of the American people in general, they stood in line for hours on end EVERYWHERE to show Mr. Trump they had his back, they GAVE HIM the reason to FIGHT, and then they walked over broken glass and hot coals to VOTE!!! I am STILL AMAZED and I STILL can’t get the smile off my face just to know this country IS NOT to the left!!!! POTUS Trump is going to be a GREAT POTUS, right up there with Reagan maybe even better!!!! You should ENJOY every minute of being ELATED against ALL odds and polls WE WON!!!! Close your shop and enjoy the day with the rest of us WE HAVE ALL EARNED IT!!!!
