Donald Trump’s first foreign trip as president is expected to be a visit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, The Sunday Times reported late Saturday.
The U.K. newspaper said Trump and his team told British officials that their first foreign trip would be a summit in Iceland with Putin within weeks of his inauguration.
The plan is likely a nod to Ronald Reagan’s Cold War visit in Reykjavik with Mikhail Gorbachev, the newspaper noted.
Incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer called the report "100 percent false" on Twitter.

Trump will be too busy for such trips in his first 6 months. First state he should visit should be Israel to open the new Embassy in Jerusalem! To England to meet with Ms. May the PM, and a side trip to Paris to meet Madam LePen and the French government. Another trip should be to Egypt to meet with the leaders and pray at the new Christian Cathedral! Then, and only then, a flight to Moscow or St. Petersburg for a five day summit to meet behind closed doors to CUT UP THE WORLD INTO ZONES OF INFLUENCE! In this way, crush Islamic goals and bring peace to the planet!

I believe Putin will visit Washington....instead of acknowledging that it is a act of deference of one nation to a more potent nation, they will howl about how they’re conspiring together....

If I was Trump, I would go to Israel first, Egypt second, United Kingdom fourth, France fifth and then to Venezuela to meet with pro liberty people sixth, then Hong Kong, to meet with pro democracy leaders seventh, then the three other trips - Zimbabwe, to promote democracy, South Korea, to aim his speech to the North Koreans (same reason) and to the inner city of Chicago to promote a program to get Blacks to be successful - without relying on the Government.
I'd give more credibility to Spicer. Trump's first overseas trip should be, and probably will be, to Israel and the UK.
