Probably not. Yes they were compromised, but they were still causing Putin issues. The were up for sale to others not just Russia. Putin is literally fighting a war in the middle east because of Hillary/Obama. Why would he want her policies to continue.

Putin has recognized America's history of doing the right thing. And he's admitted the Soviet economic model did not work. I think Putin recognizes a strong America led by those willing to do the right thing is good for the world and for Russia.

Maybe.... but is letting them invade Ukraine the right thing to do? Now to be real, the Ukrainians let Russia take over their land without a fight, so perhaps they didn’t deserve it. Corruption has long taken their country and undermined their ability to defend themselves.
