President-elect Trump slammed US Rep. John Lewis on Twitter Saturday, for “falsely complaining” about the election, and said he should spend more time fixing problems in his district.
Lewis, a Georgia democrat and legendary civil rights activist, intends to skip Trump’s Friday inauguration and feels the Tweeter-in-Chief isn’t a “legitimate president,” he told NBC News’ “Meet the Press.”
Trump shot back at Lewis with a pair of tweets, the first at 7:50 a.m., the second at 8:07 a.m.
“Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk – no action or results. Sad!” he wrote.

I say this as someone who was born the day the Supremes ruled in Brown v. Board of Education, praying that I will not succumb to similar buffoonery as I enter my elderhood.
P.S. it happened to Ted Kennedy as well; his brothers became icons because they died young, while he became a buffoon at best in his later years. As the song says, it's a poor man who lives on his former glory, with only pride to back up an empty story.
