President Obama will leave the White House to President-elect Trump on Friday, Jan. 20, and then according to his schedule he and wife Michelle will embark on their final flight board aboard a presidential aircraft to an "undisclosed location."
That Friday morning, Obama's final weekly schedule says the president and first lady will "welcome President-elect Trump and Melania Trump to the White House for tea."
Afterwards, the Obamas will attend Trump's inauguration at the U.S. Capitol.
Then the couple will travel to Joint Base Andrews, via helicopter, where Obama will speak to group of staff gathered there "to bid farewell."

What valid reason is there for HIM to say HE promised his wife a VACATION when they left the WH? Stupid us! We thought that $90+ million covered what we taxpayers paid for ALL their vacations for the past 8 years. I am betting it will be a plane load of “friends” and relatives - no one will be left out - probably include WH staff and all.
I was sure they wouldn’t need to leave the WH lawn in a helicopter when they could hoof it right up the street to their new digs. Shows you how wrong I was.
It for sure won’t be the 747 known as Air Force One when a REAL PRESIDENT is on board as I can’t imagine anyone stupid enough to let that plane with all its communication and defense/emergency gear for THE PRESIDENT leave the area. Not that he wouldn’t believe he was entitled to it but we do have grownups running the show now, don’t we?
I would like to HOPE that he knows how UNPOPULAR they both are and wants to limit any disruptions when they get to where they’re going. I don’t buy that myself!
Maybe the house on the cliff in Rancho Mirage, CA supposedly purchased by them - WITH a HUGE earthquake in the making! Could we be so lucky?
