Rep. John Lewis is - and has been - a racist hater for years.

In 1995, when Newt and the GOP held the majority for the first time in 40 years, Lewis took to the House floor and shouted:

“Dey comin’ fo da chillin! Dey comin’ fo da chillin!”*

It was a cynical attempt to fear-monger, with absolutely no justification, House Republicans’ effort to get the deficit-riddled budget under control.

Lewis is a nasty, brainless empty suit; a true kindred spirit of Obama, losers and demagogues both.

* = “They’re coming for the children!” was Lewis’ inflammatory reference to the lie that the Head Start program was being gutted by the GOP majority, when in fact only the rate of increase in funding was slowed slightly - guaranteeing more funding each year, just not as much as under the Dems.

Actually, it was, and in Lewis’s parlance, “Dey comin’ fo da po ! Dey comin’ fo da edderly ! Dey comin’ fo da sick ! Dey comin’ fo da cheerdrun !”
