Stephen Cohen is on John Batchelor’s show quite a bit. I am OK with calling him “left leaning”; I don’t think he’s a flaming Russia fan like Mark Levin thinks he is nor do I think he is a flaming leftist. I think he brings a lot of insight into various US-Russia issues. Yes, with a mild pro-Russia slant, but IMO if you can tolerate that you can get a better insight into “Russianism” than you get from any US media source.

I like hearing his insights on Batchelor's show but after 10 minutes I think he loves to hear himself talk and veers off into 5 different directions in the same sentence.

Also - I believe he is Katrina Van Den Heuvel's husband - you gotta be a a hard core commie to marry that bitch - although I will say she did look good in her younger days....

I listen to that every week and wind up depressed. The end of the USSR made Russia enemy #1 for the Left and Cohen calls them out on it. He has knowledge and integrity and a better grasp on Reagan's performance than the cartoonish images we get from a lot of today's “conservatives”.

There is something really sinister going on and I hesitate to guess what it is for fear of sounding paranoid. But, powerful people want war with Russia. They are insane.

Back in the day I remember him as being pro Soviet.

Perhaps he's changed, I don't know. It got to the point where I wouldn't watch him.
