How they link this to military privatization is a mystery to me even after reading the article. To whit:
"Private vendors are not engaged in the same social engineering project as the military and, as a result, tend to hire and fire people based on their ability to work effectively as a team." ___ and there is a problem with this because? If true this would tend to promote greater diversity in the privatized military sector as those who could not work effectively as a team, despite differences, would be fired or would not apply in the first place. Which seem like it blows the whole premise of the article.
I have a headache.
It’s called freedom of association you euro twit.
We should FORCE people to act however we deem socially acceptable.....
IF they are white, if they are Muslim/other minority it is perfectly acceptable for them to self-segregate.
Statist Boot on the face of humanity...
de-diversification...
This thread AND the thread right after it mention diversity in one form or another.
WTF IS SO GREAT ABOUT DIVERSITY!!!???
I’m of Italian Descent. EVERYONE in this neighborhood and half the Island is of Italian descent. (Of course I would get on just fine with any white ethnic group after they got used to my idiosyncrasies :))
What country has THRIVED with diversity!?!?! One?!?!
Bosnia? The Hutus and the Tutsi’? And on and on.
ENOUGH! Ban that word from the dictionary!!
Liberals believe that every need must be filled by a lottery. Anything else is unfair. And if the lottery does not come up utterly racially and every other which way balanced then the lottery must be “managed.”
It is a GOOD segregation though as it is not based on race or gender or economic circumstances - it is purely ideological! If ideological segregations were made in real life by say having each state and it’s residents align with an ideology then those with unworkable ideologies would quickly fail and be identified as something to be eliminated - hence the liberal whining.
She was born in Pennsylvania and lives in the northeast.
Peoples have been segregated buy ethnicity, religion, race, socio-ecomonic classes, and subsections of each of those things, either by regulations or design since colonial times.
OTOH, today, it is the self segregation by minority races, one religion, and political association, that is UNHEALTHY! OTOH....

There is much more to the article than posted here.
The author goes on to identify how diversity in our military is not a good thing.
FTA... The result is that, in the last 20 years, weve watched one of our major structures for diversification collapse without anyone taking notice. And because of how its happened, the process is also connected to job opportunities and economic opportunity for many working- and middle-class individuals, seeding resentment and hatred.
Her conclusion from the article..... If we want to develop a healthy democracy, we need a diverse and highly connected social fabric. This requires creating contexts in which the American public voluntarily struggles with the challenges of diversity to build bonds that will last a lifetime.
Yet she uses the military and our colleges and universities as examples AGAINST diversity.
How nice. She made her own wiki page? I didn’t know you could do that.
Statist boot on the face of white people.
People will do anything to Overcome Diversity.
They don’t want balance. They want dominance. Just go down to any city hall tell me how balanced it is. Screw them and the horse they rode in on.
Talk about self-segregating!

Hi mom!!! :)
Thought about you the other night.
Hope you are well!
Great post by the way.
It’s so calm and nuanced and makes great points.
You are always making great points but usually it’s with stronger language :)
