Completely strange, especially since this guy is not an Obama loyalist. He was appointed by Bush because he is loyal to the United States, not to Zero.

Changing command during the middle of an important deployment is a strange thing to do — why not replace him effective the next day?

Maybe he did something to p*ss Trump off while “negotiating with the inauguration committee” on a “number of issues?”

Which is one of the reasons I'm surprised that so many people here think that this was Trump's decision. Would not the left be the ones wanting to sow confusion, to disrupt the security chain-of-command, at that critical moment?
