Malachi Martin from Ireland told a friend an invisible force pushed him to his death

How did he manage to tell anybody anything after he was dead?

If I recall, he died after the fall, and from the fall, but not right away.

I actually know of someone (2nd hand) who set himself on fire, and died a little more than a day later, but actually confessed the sin of suicide as he regretted his action after it was too late.

It took him a couple days to die of the effects of the fall. He hit his head on the corner of a desk on the way down, and succumbed to a cerebral hemorrhage.

He called his friend and reported that his feet had been jerked out from under him as he was standing on a stool reaching for a book of a high shelf.
