McAuliffe joined Holder to head up the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, a group devoted to ensuring that Democrats add representation during the redistricting process, which will be based on the 2020 national census.
The two men worry that Democratic donors focus too much on presidential elections, and not enough on the elections which control down ballot races nationwide.
“We’ve got to be smarter about how we’re building the future of this party,” McAuliffe told the Times. “We have been decimated at the state level, and it’s at the state level that they draw the maps. We raise all this money in the presidential, and then everybody goes away.”

Politically, this effort will be a dead cat bounce because the Democrats are without a clear potential for a majority. Building on a generation of GOP effort, Trump attracted the white working class, which was once the foundation of the Democratic Party. Thus the Democrats now consist of minorities, public employee unions, and ideological Leftists. A successful Trump Presidency will soon cement into place a GOP governing majority that can justly claim credit for restoring American prosperity and greatness through conservative policies.
Perhaps it’s because democrats hate America and Americans.

After listening to Senators, Cory Booker (High on drugs) & Elizabeth Warren (Insane, from A-Z) question POTUS nominees...I offically declare the entire Democrat Party...politically dead!!! Note to Democrat, Senator Joe Manchin...”If I were you, I would immediately swatch over from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party. You no more belong in that failed political mess, then I ever will be eating swiss cheese on the moon!!! Sir, that move would be the smartest one you ever made!!!
If the Democrats ever get the majority again, they will criminalize the opposition. Count on it.

Joe Manchin does whatever is politically expedient. He is still a Dem, through and through.
As President Trump would say: rebuild the party . . . “starting with a moral compass”.
There is a huge problem with the U.S. Census when it comes to legislative redistricting and reapportionment. The problem lies in the fact that the Census counts people, not citizens. Because of this fact areas with high illegal immigration get more representation than areas that don’t. That is why it is imperative to begin deporting illegal aliens in earnest, beginning in “purple” areas of the country that could swing blue as a result.

The Dems should look to Arizona for their remedy. During Janet Napolitano’s tenure as Governor, a bill was voted on to create a ‘Redistricting Commission’ in Arizona. It was to be made up of 2 Republicans, 2 Democrats and 1 Independent. Well, by the time it was put into effect in 2010, Jan Brewer was the Governor. She appointed an ‘Independent’ who was really a Democrat. The 3 Democrats met behind closed doors (illegal) and drew up the Districts without input from the 2 Republicans (illegal) and then voted on their new map that, during the next election, gave the state 5 Dem Congresscritters and only 4 Republican ones. This in a state with a Republican Governor, 2 Republican Senators (well, at least Kyle behaved like a Republican), a Republican Attorney General and a Republican Lt Governor. It only lasted for one cycle of Congress. We now have 5 R Congresscritters and 4 Dem ones. Including the only ‘proudly bisexual’ Representative, Kirsten Sinema. The maps should be drawn up by computer, on population only to get fair representation. But that would not take into consideration the carve out (I’m sure created by the Dems) that allows for grerymandering to create representation for minorities. What a steaming pile of do-do all this is. Brewer did sue to stop the Dems map from being implemented, but (of course) a Napolitano appointed judge threw the lawsuit out. I hear from friends in Ohio that the Left thinks gerrymandering there allows for more Republicans to be elected. Any Ohioans like to weigh in?
McAwful, Clinton’s Bag Man, is out of office this year.
Hopefully the VAGOP will not be successful in sticking us with Ed Gillespie as our candidate.
He lost his Senate bid because he refused to use Warner’s vote for Gang of Eight against him because he is a Cheap Labor Express Republican leftover Bushie.
But he is right, the Democrat Party has been decimated at every level thanks to Obama.

As far as I can tell the only Representative from Arizona that is not a Cheap Labor Express Republican is Trent Franks.
1 Republican, 4 Democrats and 4 Democrats in R jerseys and 2 Democrats in R jersey Senators.
