Let’s think about this for a second...just for a second. Since he is not yet president and since the car is ready to go, do you think that perhaps, just perhaps, just maybe, that it was approved a long long time ago? Or do you really think the car was designed, engineered, built and tested since Nov. 8?
It would take 5 years of planing and engineering before the vehicle would be approved and another 3 years to build it.
They probably had a van designed and built in anticipation of hillary winning. However, she lost, and the van was scrapped. Since the van was scrapped, they scrambled to build this.
Dave,
Let’s think about what I actually said for a second...just for a second.
Trump voiced his disapproval over the cost of the new Air Force One, before the first one was even built. Trump voiced his disapproval of the cost of the F-35 program that is ongoing.
What I said was that I don’t think Trump would have approved of the cost per vehicle, which is $1.5 million for a single limo, because it would be yet another example of a government program with out of control costs.
What I did not say, which is what you seem to be implying, was that Trump personally commissioned and approved the project.
