Donald Trump’s presidential limousine will be equipped with a tear gas cannon, shotgun, and even bottles of the President-elect’s blood type, according to multiple reports. The “Cadillac One” limo, which will make its public debut on Inauguration Day, will replace a fleet of nearly a dozen vehicles that have served President Obama since 2009, Autoweek reported.
The vehicle, also known as “The Beast,” will come with a price tag of up to $1.5 million, the New York Post reported.

It’s not quite as foreboding-looking as the vehicle it replaces, but it’s still an ugly car. Not a very fitting flagship for American automotive design. I suppose it’s necessary, though. That’s not a limousine, it’s a tank disguised as one, built on a truck frame. It’s going to look a little brutal by comparison.

It should at least have phasers and a transporter unit. An interrositer is obsolete.

The whole thing’s custom so I suppose they could have 3D printed a frame specifically for this use, or maybe they still had some TopKick medium duty frames.
As I recall they seem to replace the limo every president. I read somewhere they limo Bush 43 had became a backup to the current limo. I would imagine something similar happens this time.
Still, with all that has happened in the past eight years and what has happened since the election, it might prove to be necessary. I hope not.
If Trump had chosen to replace it the new limo would be ready sometime in mid-2018.

To deter rioters in advance by saying “we can hurt you”

To let them know not to bother trying to shoot at him, he’ll likely survive

Good point. I’m sure they plan these out 5-10 years in advance they could have made sure enough medium duty parts were bought up before production ended if that’s they route they went.
Add in a cassette deck, and I might have to check to see if they stole my car.
The blood is standard emergency trauma gear on presidential limos. Aparently the reporter doesnt know obamas limos have packs of blood for him on board the last 8 years.
Oddly, the remotely controllable devices are being mounted on the inside, in the rear seat of the car. Also confusing, is why Obama will be the only one who will have the remote control to operate the devices.
