The Obama administration is ending the "wet foot, dry foot" policy that granted residency to Cubans who arrived in the United States without visas.
That's according to a senior administration official, who said the policy change was effective immediately.

So the policy started by Clinton, I think, is ending as the worst occupant of the Oval Office in history is leaving.
Mixed feelings on this--it was instituted, supposedly, to have mercy on people fleeing communism. Those fleeing the poverty of Haiti, etc. are not given that privilege.
Open Borders for everyone but Cubans
The coward waited until after the election to make this policy.
Why did obama do this? It is a good thing, so why?

Dual citizenship and the asinine anchor baby policies need to be scrapped as well.
Because more Cuban-Americans vote conservative. So, that’s the only immigrant group he would try to ban. The majority of the rest either have no interest in becoming Americans-they’re just here for the money-or they actively hate America and come here to hurt America, like his beloved Muslim cohort.

Cubans in Florida voted 58% to 40% for Trump. Coincidence? of course not.

Actually, the policy was modified by Clinton. Prior to the 1995 wet-foot/dry-foot provision, we were not sending any intercepted on the water back to Cuba. Clinton changed that, and allowed only those fleeing Cuba who actually made it to shore to stay.

Obozo is going to be one very frustrated former _resident, because President Trump is not a lazy person like Obozo is, quite the contrary. Therefore, this last flurry of activity which Obozo is enacting just to try to make things difficult for P Trump, will be undone faster than he can imagine. P Trump is an active man, he loves to be doing things, and I imagine he will take great relish in drawing lines, figuratively speaking, through all these meaningless EO and resolutions and such which Obozo is enacting in such futility. Obozo just proves, once again, his petty nature.
You knew it was coming when they normalized relations.
So why don’t we have this policy for the Mexicans?

However , since Florida is always a close swing state it is probably in the best interest of the Democrat party to not have more Cubans in Florida.
