Little Marco tried to act tough, yesterday. Of course, he doesn’t want to approve ANY of Trump’s picks. He’s still pouting.
“The military has been homosexualized, feminized, cut, sequestered, demoralized, and abused.”
... like the rest of America.
In answer to your question:
Q: “who dreamt up that law”
A: The founding fathers.
They were divinely inspired and brilliant. They didn’t want a military dictatorship.
See Egypt and Pakistan or any number of countries.
Oh wait that didn't happen. This military leader of a revolutionary movement turned out be one of the more ethical morale and quite intelligent philosophically, competent administrators and implementor of an incredible vision history code have hoped for.
Replace the word military with any en-devour of human existence worth a damn and you get a similar argument.
I'm not seeing the how by the logic you are using other professions disproportionately represented in government type orgs wouldn't be similarly disqualified - attorney's spring to mind but they are good at arguing so I should find another example.
Mattis is qualified and a good choice and an exception should be granted. Common sense and discretion should rule the day. He is not going to lead a military coup.
But if you don’t understand why the founders of this country put that law into place, you’re missing the point by such a wide margin it’s hard to even know where to begin. They were proven right.
In some other countries, you can’t disagree with the military. Say whatever you want to say. But remember they have the guns, the planes and the tanks.
I thought it was, “Peace is our profession, but War is business, and Business is good....”
I lean Apache.
WAR,
has never solved
ANYTHING!
Protest Warrior roots!
That works as well.
