In a story that is getting more surreal by the minute, a post on 4Chan now claims that the infamous "golden showers" scene in the unverified 35-page dossier, allegedly compiled by a British intelligence officer, was a hoax and fabricated by a member of the chatboard as "fanfiction", then sent to Rick Wilson, who proceeded to send it to the CIA, which then put it in their official classified intelligence report on the election.

Yes, but it’s worth noting that when Trump was briefed about the dossier, it was presented to him not as fact but as an example of disinformation that was in circulation about him. So the intel people, at some point and apparently at high levels, realized it was bogus. The media must have realized or suspected that it was bogus too since they sat on it for months without releasing it. The biggst dupes seem to be the never Trumpers like McCain.

It is my understanding that few people actually watch CNN. Of those that do regularly, I suspect they will never learn that CNN actually lies because they would need to do so elsewhere.For several reasons that probably won’t happen.

As a child I read an account of Yellow Rain in Laos, in Reader’s Digest.
It was horrific: No one believed the victims, so one guy picked up a leaking, unexploded canister to bring to the authorities, many miles away. He died a horrible death along the way, on a forest trail.
Another Laotian picked up where he left off, carrying the leaking canister further. He also died a horrible death on a forest trail.
I forget the end. I was 10. I was not prepared for that type of evil.

The psychological maturity of the average 4chan user is directly inverse to his creative and technical abilities. The MSM and intel agencies ought to be embarrassed at the ease with which they let themselves be taken in by these juvenile savants.

Sooo ... While some publications are crediting Steele as the author of the dossier - he merely lifted the hooker story from 4Chan and included it in his “report” - and now he’s in hiding.
I think this story might be starting to make sense.
According to the 4Chan posts, they made stuff up to as bait for R. Wilson-republican hack, who passed it to another political hack and possibly the IC was the one that gave it the spy twist.
At this point, there’s been no proof that this former MI6 agent actually provided any of this nonsense. We don’t know exactly all the details.
The prankster has hired a lawyer and promises full disclosure soon.
