BREAKING NEWS: Republican congressman John Rutherford collapses after suffering a 'massive heart attack' during House vote Republican congressman John Rutherford has collapsed during a vote in the House. The newly sworn-in representative from Florida suffered a 'medical emergency' during a vote on Wednesday, reports suggest His condition is not known. According to The Hill, he was receiving oxygen through a mask when he was wheeled to an ambulance. Rutherford is a former sheriff from Jacksonville, Florida. He was elected to Congress in November, succeeding Republican Ander Crenshaw, who retired after eight terms. More to follow.

I’m not familiar with his political views, but he looks like a great guy. And he looks pretty healthy in that photo, too. Prayers for his recovery.

I know. There are signs though, and many ignore them.
But some are hit with no warning at all.

FATHER GOD,
We ask for the miraculous healing of Congressman Rutherford. May the HOLY SPIRIT restore the damage in his heart. By JESUS’ stripes we were healed.
Draw close to the Rutherford family. May they experience Your rest and peace that passes understanding.
May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Hopefully they got him to a really good cardiac unit. Probably Washington Hospital Center (nearest major hospital to the Capitol).
