There never was an “addendum report” within the presidential intelligence briefing on Russia’s involvement, or any discussion of a ridiculous 35 page dossier. Both NBC and The Hill have now directly published articles which destroy the narrative assembled by CNN on the basis of their exclusive intelligence leaks: ♦ President-elect Donald Trump was never briefed on the allegations that Russian intelligence services have collected compromising information on him, according to NBC and Trump’s transition team. ♦ Officials prepared a two-page summary of unverified reports that have been circulating Capitol Hill for months in advance of their Friday meeting with Trump, an intelligence official told NBC, but never discussed it with him. ♦ The briefing was shared with Trump verbally, the report said, and no documents were left with the president-elect. Actually Assange said HIS source was not Russia or a state actor but an individual. He DID say he didn’t know how his source came about the leaks.

Maybe Assange doesn't know who the hackers are.

He may only know know who passed them along to Wikileaks.

His credibility is now destroyed.

No more than anybody else in the media who doesn't reveal his sources (and that's assuming he knows who they are).

If he had to say exactly where every document came from (assuming he knows), nobody would bother leaking documents and his site would be out of business.

OK, so Assange could simply be an unwitting actor in all this, indirectly funneling Russian hacking to the public.

Which means Russia are the villains in all this, and perhaps Trump needs to start distancing himself from Putin?

Given the pitiful state of security, it is easy to say MANY people and states had access to these emails. Assange was clear that he did not receive them from Russia. If his agent was a Hillary/DNC insider who got them from Russia, then what was Hillary or the DNC doing colluding with Russians?

I am too as long as there wasn’t an actual agreement between Trump and Putin for Russia to release the emails. Like Putin expects Trump to deliver on something.

There is no evidence for that yet, but there will be speculation.

And it still begs the issue why would Putin prefer Trump over Hillary? I don’t get that.
