Irritated Rubio grills Rex Tillerson on Russia: “Is Vladimir Putin a war criminal?”

Gotta say, although I think Rubio will cave and end up voting for Tillerson reluctantly, the palpable disdain he evinces here for the nominee really has me wondering. You don’t expect resolve from a guy who said in the primaries that Trump was unfit to command the nuclear arsenal and then endorsed him for president a few months later, but it’s hard logically to get from the point A of this clip to the point B of Rubio voting to confirm. And remember, his vote counts more than most: He’s a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which will vote after the hearing on whether to recommend Tillerson to the full Senate. The GOP enjoys an 11-10 advantage on that committee. If Rubio flips and votes no, the GOP will need to flip a Democrat or else Tillerson will lose the committee vote. And it’s unusual for a nominee who fails in committee to be confirmed by the full Senate.

There was a time when I wasn’t negative regarding him. The nomination process opened my eyes. I began to take note of his comments and thinking due to him being more visible nationally.

I’m not sure I ever thought he showed promise, but I sure agree with you at this point.

Rubio claim over and over was that everyone knows Putin is a war criminal because he has bombed hospitals, killed rivals killed civilians, well that includes Tillerson, but Mr. Tillerson is auditioning for chief diplomat and as yet does not have a security clearance and does not have access to classified information that would indicate that Putin intentionally targeted Hospitals,Schools etc..
He may very well view him as a War criminal,at this point keeping an avenue of dialogue open with the Russians to try to change behaviour rather than shut off all dialogue and have Putin continue on his ruthless behaviour.
Remember folks how many times have we seen reported in our conflicts that we have bombed hospitals? Now are we war criminals? I would like to believe we don’t intentionally do those things,we apologize for such incidents when they occur but we don’t ever see the classified information.

Rubio was a con man who rode the Tea Party wave to office. He mouthed tea party slogans to get himself elected, and once in office showed his true colors as a younger version of McCain and Graham. Apart from his role in the Gang of 8 and his attacks on Trump, what I despise most about him is that he thinks that he's too good for the Senate and is somehow destined for greater things (without doing anything to earn them).

Another con-artist who played the same bait and switch game was Nikki Haley in SC. I was originally disappointed when Trump picked her as ambassador to the UN, but it's a position of little importance and she'll do less harm there than she would as Governor of SC.

“Never-Trumpism is as damaging to this country as are the “progressive” leftists.”

The leftist FReaks HERE did their very best before their cowardly FRexit.

Along with sounding like a college undergraduate, Rubio sounds like a college undergraduate on the verge of breaking into tears.

I’m not particularly impressed with Tillerson—or Rubio in this exchange.

All three of them—McCain, Graham and Rubio—also have a boatload of info that they can be blackmailed on. I expect they have both the carrot and the stick directing their odious actions and statements.

A better question for rubio to have been asking is “Is barack obama a war criminal?”

I say, “yes.”

He appeared to be tripping as he was reading his questions off of paper so fast and the nervous facial expression.

It's not easy being a tool of the globalist NWO cabal. The stress will kill you. As will they if you screw up.

If Putin is a war criminal then every POTUS from FDR onwards is/was a war criminal.

Yep. Obama's use of drones would certainly qualify.
