I was hoping that he would tell him to stop being rude and that he had one chance to be quiet and that if he wasn’t that he would be removed and never be back. And then remove him when he protested. But what he did was great.

With Trump, press conferences — just like the debates — become a television event. And as Trump jabs his knife into the straw man, the Deplorables go nuts with and Trump wins worldwide publicity. Even negative publicity helps Trump’s agenda. People begin to fear Trump’s wrath, which puts muscle behind negotiations. It’s all part of the larger MAGA strategy.
Did you notice he praised the government of Mexico and indirectly the New York Times for their restraint on Pissgate? So it’s a mixture of carrot and stick...
