Breitbart ^ | January 11, 2017 | Nick Hallett

A passage from the Koran that denies one of the central tenets of the Christian faith was sung aloud at a cathedral service in Scotland. The passage from Surah 19, which specifically denies that Jesus was the Son of God and says He should not be worshipped, was sung during a Eucharist service at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Glasgow to mark the feast of the Epiphany.

And if the kaaba was destroyed who would Muslims worship?

Oh and it was in that same Anglican Church where I first learnt that Moslems hated me and wanted to kill me because I was a Christian...

Hardly a place where the enemy’s religious doctrine would be sung...

Bury St Edmunds is in Suffolk, near Ipswich...

I was in Ipswich in October and on the Sunday attended the same 800 year old Anglican Church my grandfather was baptized in as a baby...

They had Communion and adhered to the teachings from the Bible and the rest of the service was just like I had experience as a child...

Later I enjoyed a time of “fellowship” meeting distance cousins and talking about the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior..

Not all churches have submitted...

“Ask yourself this. You are the Anglican “bishop” of Glasgow, ostensibly a shepherd of the Christian flock. You not only allow a Muslim chant that denies Christ’s divinity in your Cathedral but say and do nothing.”

Well.... up here in Minnniesnowta- our bishop presided in the cathedral
over a “homosexual mass”- where the “congregants dressed up in rainbow sashes and kissed each other in front of the alter— Someone actually held an EXORCISM of the building!

using blessed oil and salt- the bishop called the police
to file charges of destruction of property-

They never caught who did this- BUT the satanic rituals stopped— as far as I know.

Coming to a “church” near you-
Must pray to allah
must “marry” whomever wishes to be married
must give all satanists equal time- just like the boy scouts
or brownie troops— 50 years ago I would have been put
into a mental hospital for suggesting such things

Reminds me of when Ezekiel looked through a crack in the Temple wall and saw what was going on inside. And it was not good.

My Irish/Catholic Grandmother is rolling in her grave. May God have Mercy...

Your Irish Catholic grandmother would not be surprised at the antics of the Scottish EPISCOPAL Church.

Yep, I believe the Spirit of God left much of mainstream religion a long time ago. This event can be viewed as an act of mourning for a dead church as well as a subtle warning of the wrath to come. Poor dopes.

Christianity doesn’t appear to be required in a lot of “Christian” churches these days.

Jesus should not be worshipped, eg “Praise Jesus”, because He Himself said he should not be worshipped.

First I've heard of it. Can you give me some scriptural verses to back that up please?

Wait, this is not a Catholic Church. Rather, its the fruit of the heresy spawned by Martin Luther that has given rise to over 30,000 Protestant sects sharing contradictory beliefs with married gay and lesbian pastors now part of their “Christian” doctrine. Each person gets the “authority” to crack open the Bible and pronounce his/her interpretation of the “Word” of God. Think Joel Osteen; Billy Graham; Rev. Jeremiah Wright; the Moonies; Rev. Al Sharpton etc.

I think Islam is the strongest expression of the spirit of the Antichrist, which is why progressives love Islam. Which is why apostate churches are eager to promote Islam. Why would progressives approve of Islam, as it treats women like animals and persecutes gays? But Islam is the spirit of the Antichrist - and that makes up for and obliterates any objections liberals might otherwise have.

Perhaps I was too young, too naive all those years ago but watching "Yes, Minister" now, I'm amazed at how applicable it is to our times and to our system of goverment. Brilliant show.

Thank you for posting that. (It could describe Pelosi's idea of the Catholic Church in this country.)

Surah 19 has the following salient verses

88. And they say, “The Most Merciful has begotten a son.”

89. You have come up with something monstrous.

90. At which the heavens almost rupture, and the earth splits, and the mountains fall and crumble.

91. Because they attribute a son to the Most Merciful.

92. It is not fitting for the Most Merciful to have a son.

93. There is none in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Most Merciful as a servant.

94. He has enumerated them, and counted them one by one.

95. And each one of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.

96. Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Most Merciful will give them love.

In the above “The Most Merciful” refers to Allah to Muslims and to God the Father to Christians. Not only do the verses indicate that Jesus is not the Son of God the Father, it also intimates in verse 96 that the only way to heaven is via “righteous deeds”, that we can work our way to heaven, and that Jesus’ sacrifice has no bearing on our salvation.

Hmmm ... doesn’t seem to be much that we can claim to be “common ground” for our next interfaith conference.
