I always try to donate to the Salvation Army.

I haven't yet heard anything bad about them.

Goodwill has been bad news for a long time. I used to give to the Salvation Army, but stopped after they went squishy on pro-life issues.

Now I only give to very small local groups. A large national charity is more likely to have its governing board taken over by elitist leftists, no matter how noble in its beginning.

Same here. Last time though for no reason I called Salvation Army. They received a dining room table and chairs worth about $2k. Glad I did it now.
